Queen B’s Decree: I went into The Accidental Countess not sure I even liked the main characters. Eva was my least favorite of the Heroine trio prior to this book, so my hopes were definitely tempered.
But somehow The Accidental Countess became my favorite of the series. Eva and Matthew were both secret marshmallows. Both claiming they don’t want love or real relationships, yet they obviously cared for each other from the beginning. I loved the progression of their relationship and how it felt like love crept up on them. The best part was that since they had been friends-with-benefits, this story was able to focus more on their emotional connection and growth.
Funny and sweet, The Accidental Countess was an enjoyable read. The side characters helped keep the witty banter coming, and I wished I could have taken naps with their dogs.
A great end to the series!
