Queen B’s Decree: I was so impatient to start Mark of Stars after devouring the first in the series, Spark of Fate. The characters here are so relatable (except for the werewolf-y magic bits!) that you can’t help but be consumed and enthralled.
Rowan is my favorite kind of heroine. She’s strong and resilient without being too over-the-top badass or unrealistic. Each of her bandmates has their own personality and quirks, and throughout the story I’m happy to see we get equal time with all of them. Rowan is learning how to handle this untraditional relationship with patience and grace and each bonding moment with her boys is endearing.
I loved the addition of the council and the mystery that surrounds them. Mark of Stars was well paced with an interesting story progression. The characterizations were just as great as in Spark of Fate and the interactions between all the characters is what continues to keep my interest.
The cliffhanger ending just cemented my need for more Tessa Hale and I am on the edge of my seat as I wait!
