Queen B’s Decree: Everything Will Be Alright is the exact kind of sweet YA I’ve been craving. I loved Smile Like You Mean It and the next in the series picks up right where it left off.
Charlotte is adjusting to living with her uncle and becoming friends with her “step-cousin” Sebastian and his four best friends. As this is a reverse harem, we naturally get the “more than friends” vibe with all of them. But since Charlotte and her boys are teenagers, I think it progresses very realistically. All the boys (and Charlotte!) have crushes and don’t really know how to deal with them.
The individual relationships with with each BFF grows and deepens over the course of Everything Will Be Alright. And the best part is how the poly relationship is beginning to be teased into existence; it starts with one and slowly spreads to others.
A little bit of angst and a whole lot of sweetness, Everything Will Be Alright is a story that makes your heart happy. Full of emotional growth, acceptance, and a couple of bad-ass punches, I couldn’t put this one down and can’t wait for more.
