Queen B’s Decree: Uncocky Hero gave me all the feels. I expected this to be a little more light-hearted than it was, but I still devoured every minute of it.
Cleo is living on borrowed time as she deals with a chronic illness and isn’t looking for love when she literally runs into Rhys in an airport. They have a bit of a misunderstanding initially, but neither can resist the chemistry and draw to the other. Rhys was so understanding and sweet, a perfect kind of hero. Cleo was a strong character, but I felt she was a little more bland for me; possibly because her illness overshadowed any personality.
I wasn’t expecting the twist that occurred near the end and at times Uncocky Hero was heartbreakingly emotional. Well developed characters and deep insight, I couldn’t put it down. Without spoiling anything, I will just say that Uncocky Hero was an emotional yet beautiful read from Alex Grayson.
