Queen B’s Decree: Vance was always my least favorite brother (or at least he was after I read all his other brothers’ books) so I knew Yours to Keep would be a harder book for me to enjoy.
Vance is just a harder character to connect to, but his relationship with Dare was really adorable. How they both claimed they would never fall in love or catch feelings, yet it was obvious that it was happening to them both. I also really love how much the author prioritizes mental health. Even when Vance was slightly resisting, the fact that he was open to therapy was so important.
The romance between Vance and Dare was a bit of a slow burn as they essentially danced around each other, and there wasn’t too much steam. It was more implied than shown.
We finally get to read the letters that the boys’ father had left for them, and the mystery was solved. The conclusion was overly ridiculous for me and I couldn’t suspend my belief enough to enjoy or accept it.
Yours to Keep was a good continuation (completion?) of the series and was well written like everything Claudia Burgoa does, but the story line and the plot jumped the shark for me.
