Queen B’s Decree: Opposites Attract was fun and light. Megan moves in with a new roommate (Josh) that seems perfect for her, if it wasn’t for her pesky attraction to Josh’s NFL quarterback brother, Brandon. See, Megan comes from a football loving family and is militantly anti-jocks. But their friendly banter eventually turns into more.
I think Megan’s crush on Josh didn’t work for me as much. Josh’s actions made him look so selfish and immature and he used Megan. And Megan was stubborn. She didn’t feel a spark with Josh but since he seemed like the “perfect boyfriend” on paper, she ignored her attraction to Brandon.
I felt that Megan was a bit of an academic snob at times, acting rudely towards Brandon and his intelligence. Brandon was the star of Opposites Attract. He was sweet and vulnerable and wasn’t too afraid to show his imperfections or flaws.
Overall, Opposites Attract was a sweet and fun read with a good story progression and fun dialogue.
