Read. Reign. Repeat.

Loner by Jamie Schlosser

Queen B’s Decree: Loner sucked me in from the very beginning. Rosalie is locked up in her tower (like Rapunzel) with minimal contact with the outside world. Her mother is convinced that Rosalie is mentally ill and not safe to leave, so Rosalie’s only outside contact is watching the groundskeeper Preston, and chatting with an online friend on a game.

On the eve of her birthday, she escapes and unbeknownst to her, Preston is more than just a groundskeeper.

I loved how they came together. Both dealing with trauma from their pasts, it was like they were magnets. Preston was adorably protective and sweet and Rosalie was brave and loyal. While you could say it felt a bit insta-love-y, their connection felt genuine.

Full of suspense, I was on the edge of my seat, wondering how it would all come together and lead me to a HEA. Beautiful chemistry with emotional depth, Loner was another great read by Jamie Schlosser.
