Read. Reign. Repeat.

Waylaid by Sarina Bowen

Queen B’s Decree: Rickie has become one of my favorite Sarina Bowen heroes. While he has this confident and flirtatious manner, he has a lot of depth. His past held some seriously dark moments, but Rickie didn’t deny his issues and was constantly working on them.

Daphne was harder for me to like. She is the most judgmental and unlikable Shipley, so it was hard to see the attraction between the sweet and understanding Rickie. Eventually, Rickie gets underneath Daphne’s prickly exterior and we get to see the sweet and tender romance between them.

I was on pins and needles for most of the story, wondering what had happened in Rickie’s past to cause his amnesia. And boy, did Sarina Bowen deliver. It was wild and wow and written so well.

Waylaid was funny and sweet and hot and exciting. It was one of the bests of the True North series and I loved every minute of it.
