Queen B’s Decree: Leif’s Serenity had some serious chemistry. Our heroes are Fernando, known to us as the chef and manager of his family-owned restaurant, and Leif, a travel blogger who is just passing through.
Fernando is bogged down with family issues and responsibilities, so he tries to restrict his “fun” with tourists so there’s never a chance for more. The connection between him and Leif is instant, yet they both quickly deny that either want more than just a fling.
Both show extreme personal and emotional growth. At times I wanted to shake them both; so stubborn and resistant to what is clear to everyone else. Leif’s Serenity also delved into some deep topics, something that was unexpected but heartily enjoyed.
And can we talk about the glow in the dark scene? Hot.
Leif’s Serenity was an emotional, yet fulfilling read. Can only hope that the sneak peek of the epilogue is what’s coming next.
