Queen B’s Decree: Brianna Hale always takes kink and turns it into something I can happily and easily read.
Rush is an arrogant, confidant, and hot rock star who hasn’t had anyone say no to him in a long time. So when he tracks down Dree to be his choreographer, she’s had a traumatic experience with her last rock star so she easily says no. But Rush is enigmatic and she can’t but help to be drawn to him. In fact, they both seem to have something the other needs. Dree wants someone to hurt her and Rush wants to be the Daddy that punishes and then soothes.
But Rush is my perfect kind of Daddy. Soft and sweet and loving. Sometimes with this scenario, I worry about the distribution of control and power. But Dree was always treated with respect and the professionalism her role entailed. They truly acted like partners.
The drama and conflict was so surprising but felt completely realistic. Add in the hot sex, sweet emotions, Rush was swoonworthy and a wonderful read by Brianna Hale.
