Queen B’s Decree: I completely forget how much I enjoy Sarina Bowen until I read her again. She just delivers every time. Bombshells was just super satisfying to read.
Anton (Baby Bayer!) is making a change and he’s putting his all into hockey. No more pranks, women, or partying. So it feels like irony that on his first day back in the Bruisers’ arena he meets Sylvie, a goalie for the new female team. And it’s instantaneous, he’s smitten. But Sylvie has some history with one of his teammates Bryce, so friends it is.
This had the potential to be ruined with the dreaded love triangle. Luckily, that’s not how it plays out. The relationship between Bryce and Sylvie never progressed past childhood friends yet his mixed signals confused both Sylvie and me. The friendship Sylvie has with Anton is just joyful. There is an instant connection between them and the chemistry was fire. Anton and Sylvie were both so supportive of each other; they felt like a perfect match.
Bombshells was sweet, sexy, entertaining, and exciting to read. I love this series and I can’t wait for more.
