Read. Reign. Repeat.

Teaching with the Enemy by Jaqueline Snowe

Queen B’s Decree: I recently read my first book from Jaqueline Snowe and I LOVED it so I jumped at the chance to read her newest work, Teaching with the Enemy. My hopes were high and that contributed to how disappointed I ended up.

I didn’t connect with any of the characters. Christopher took “enemies-to-lovers” to a new low and was rude and overtly mean. Gilly was a weak pushover that made some decisions that didn’t match up with her intelligence or how her character was supposed to act. The evil villain was over-the-top and the plot felt cliched at times.

Overall, Teaching with the Enemy was an easy read but I felt let down and unsatisfied.
