Queen B’s Decree: Bet The Farm took enemies-to-lovers and dialed up the enemies. Olivia and Jake are mourning her grandfather, the only father figure Jake had ever known. When it becomes known that the farm is left equally to them both, Jake is highly resistant.
Olivia was a fun character. Full of forgiveness, patience, and a lust for life. I didn’t quite understand her attraction to Jake. He was moody, mean, and exceptionally wishy-washy with his feelings towards Olivia. While his back story explains some of his actions, his character didn’t emotionally grow enough for my overt forgiveness.
Olivia made this book. She was humorous and fun to read about. Lots of witty banter and farm puns to help keep Bet The Farm light, yet was still emotionally deep.
