Queen B’s Decree: We have been waiting for Piper and Ollie’s story since they were first introduced. It has been so obvious (to everyone but Ollie) that they were meant to be together.
Piper has been Ollie’s (and the rest of the Fluke men) assistant for a few years and has been dealing with her unrequited love for the last two years. Whatever the reason, she’s decided she’s done waiting for Ollie to notice her. So she quits.
And Ollie, even though he has ADHD and sometimes has his head in the clouds, realizes that his life is missing something once she leaves.
Gimme S’more was a typical Erin Nicholas story: amazing, heartfelt, funny, sexy, and un-put-down-able. And like many of her novels, this felt like a little bit more than a normal romance novel. Ollie has ADHD and has some insecurities about it that have been plaguing him his entire life. And Piper, who may seem to have it all together, realizes that sometimes the best part of life is letting it go and being free.
The interaction between Ollie and the town’s teens brought a smile to my face. The obstacle course sounded like something I would have wanted to try then immediately regretted.
I’m sad to leave this series. The emotional growth of all the characters was astounding and no two book felt the same. Each book and couple had their own individual feel and trope yet it didn’t feel overdone. Erin Nicholas is one of my favorites and I will read anything she writes.
