Queen B’s Decree: We first met Kieran Shipley in the first couple novels in the True North series as the quiet cousin to the rest of the Shipleys. You know what they say, it’s always the quiet ones you need to watch for.
Roderick and Kieran have some history from many years ago, and the tension still remains when they are unexpectedly coworkers. Kieran feels as if his whole life he’s been living a secret and he doesn’t know how to deal with the unfamiliar emotions that Roderick inspires. Roddy always dives into life head first, so he’s there to be a friend (and maybe more) to Kieran and help him find his way.
Roommate was just wonderful to read. It was funny, and poignant, and tear inducing, and sweet, and sexy. As much as I loved Kieran, Roderick stole the show. He was vulnerable and honest and so giving. The interactions between him and Kieran touched my heart.
Also I am now craving a freshly baked bagel. My hips don’t thank you, Roddy.
Roommate was a bit of a slow burn but so worth the wait.
