Queen B’s Decree: Holiday With You felt a little bit like watching a Hallmark Christmas movie, in the way that it was heartwarming and sweet and perfect for Christmas.
Audrey is stuck in Winter Valley trying to acquire a bed and breakfast (not for sale, by the way) that her boss is so adamant Audrey get, and if she doesn’t her job is on the line. So after her minor car crash with Colin, the sparks immediately fly. Hard to resist a woman in a unicorn onesie, Colin.
From there the two are drawn to each other and can’t seem to keep their distance. Colin keeps pulling her into his family’s holiday traditions, and the two tumble into a relationship that neither expected nor were ready for.
Colin’s family and daughter were some standout side characters. Truly, Holiday With Me would not have been as fun of a read without them.
A little bit of angst and conflict contribute to the overall story, and keep it from being too generic or boring.
Holiday With You was a wonderful read for the holidays and made me want to curl up in front of a fireplace with some hot chocolate to celebrate.
