Queen B’s Decree: Sandy is the final story in Vested Interest, the matriarch figure of the BAM boys. If you have read any of the previous in the series, Sandy is their office manager who became a widow not too long ago.
Bring on the tears. I couldn’t stop them. I haven’t experienced loss like Sandy has, but Melanie Moreland wrote it so well that I felt it.
A coworker of hers, of a similar age and who has experienced a similar loss, is Jordan. They’ve been friends and Jordan is ready for more. He’s just been waiting for Sandy to be ready. I loved how their relationship slowly progressed. That even though they both had been married for so long, they felt the butterflies and nerves and the sparks all the same.
The way the BAM boys rally around Sandy is the highlight of the story. They have all become a true family and it was great to see. Really gonna miss this series and I might have to venture in for a reread.
