Read. Reign. Repeat.

Chicks, Man by J.D. Hollyfield

Queen B’s Decree: Chicks, Man totally went in a direction I wasn’t expecting.

We start our story at a wedding, specifically Hannah’s brother Kip’s wedding. Levi happens to be one of Kip’s best friends since childhood, and Hannah’s longstanding and unrequited crush is still going strong. When an opportunity to have seven minutes in heaven with an unsuspecting Levi comes along, Hannah feels like it’s fate.

One sexy moment turns awkward when Hannah discovers that her new job as a paralegal is to Levi, an attorney at her father’s firm.

The relationship between Levi and Hannah evolves as they become friends. They communicated so well, with honesty and true emotions.

And then the plot went insane. Their law firm is handling a case that goes sideways and let’s just say the suspense and thrills take over while the romance takes a backseat to the story. The drama was intense.

Overall, an enjoyable time was had…by me…while reading this book.
