Queen B’s Decree: This was a sweet little prequel in Jamie Schlosser’s new fantasy series. Zella is the princess from the Day Realm and her fated mate is Keryth, king of the Night Realm. Zella is being held captive by her father, who is trying to keep the two separated.
What follows is a badass escape with flying fae and magical powers. I loved seeing both Keryth and Zella work so hard to fight for their relationship together. Showed a real connection between the two.
My only criticism is that it felt like we started reading in the middle of the story. I would have loved to have read about Keryth and Zella meeting and watching their relationship grow. But alas, that is the flaw of prequels and novellas.
Definitely whetted my appetite for The Fae King’s Curse.
