Queen B’s Decree: Us After You was really hard to follow for the first third or so. It goes back and forth in the past and between Tucker’s and Sage’s viewpoints so I was a little confused for a bit. We met Tucker in Almost Perfect as one of Hannah’s super rich bandmates. Sage and Tucker end up meeting as Rocco (another bandmate) marries Sage’s sister.
Us After You was extremely emotional and angsty. Your heart will break for the characters and what they go through. I was a little disappointed in Hannah and the other bandmates; they sometimes felt very exclusionary and mean girl-esque with their cliques. But I can understand their emotional need to group together after the tragedy they live through.
Full of great character development and a sweetly, emotional story, Us After You will stay with me for a while.
