I love Billy. His thoughts are so poetic, and his love for Scarlet is truly endless. But Scarlet felt weak. They literally would not have gotten together if Cletus and the other siblings hadn’t pushed them together and if Billy hadn’t made the first move.
After over a decade of this push and pull, love and hate, between the two, I would have expected their relationship to be more volatile once they finally got together. Instead it was a little…boring?
I was happy to have an ending to what I had always thought was a sad story, but I felt a little let down. And don’t get me started on the names of their children.
But one thing is true and was 100% affirmed for me: Cletus is my bae.
