You Can Have Manhattan by P. Dangelico

Queen B’s Decree: I thought this would be a light and fluffy; fake marriage, hate-to-lovers, opposites attract. But You Can Have Manhattan was surprisingly deep.

Sydney is a lawyer in NYC and is offered the chance to be CEO of this massive company. All she has to do is marry the owner’s son, Scott. The last time she interacted with Scott, he was a philandering manwhore partying through his father’s money, so Sydney’s opinion of him isn’t high

Scott, on the other hand, is feeling cornered and forced into this marriage so he fights back, of sorts. But Sydney is made of fucking steel (seriously, I love this woman) and doesn’t back down. The interaction between the two is what makes this story. You see both lower their guards and surprise themselves by falling in love with their fake spouses.

You Can Have Manhattan is a great slow burn with in depth character development. Side characters were worthwhile and added to the story. Overall, very emotional and well written.
