Queen B’s Decree: Bad Apple was a breath of fresh air. While it features a movie star, it was great that Ben was essentially an unknown to Maggie. Maggie is a former foster kid working as a waitress to support herself through college and she’s a bit of a workaholic.
In their meet cute, Maggie ends up in his hotel room…looking for someone else. One pair of lost panties later, Maggie runs away in her embarrassment but Ben isn’t ready to let her go.
Their relationship was fun to see unfold. What starts as a week of fun with no feelings, it quickly turns into Ben trying to impress Maggie and keep her as her defensive walls start to crumble.
I think what I liked best was how both Ben and Maggie had flaws. Maggie was closed off and fearful of relationships and change. Ben was a movie star and sometimes he was so clueless to how the real world works. But together they figure out it, and the story wraps up nicely, if a little quickly.
Glad Elle Kennedy revamped this story as I may have never read it otherwise. Check it out!
