Queen B’s Decree: Enemies to lovers is becoming one of my favorite tropes. I live for the witty banter, the ridiculous interactions that lead to lust and love.
Frenemies was a good example of this trope. It was obvious from the beginning how much Dash wanted Layla, yet she was blind. Although hearing everything he had said or done? I probably would have buried any feelings of lust or attraction too!
Frenemies wasn’t just a lighthearted comedy. It dealt with some angsty and deep situations. Family obligations and the feelings that come with that. I enjoyed having a read with some depth.
Overall, another good read by Nicole Blanchard!
