Sweet Home Louisiana was our next in the Boys of the Bayou series – this time a second chance romance (which all of you know, is not my favorite). But this time the second chance trope worked! No ridiculous misunderstandings or wasted time. The time apart was necessary for both Owen and Madison to grow up. Basic plot line here is Owen and Madison dated when they were teens. Madison is coming back to sell her portion of the boy’s boating company, but she has to spend 30 days working with the Landrys. You can imagine what happens next.
Like every Erin Nicholas book I’ve ever read, Sweet Home Louisiana is full of lively characters, funny situations, hilarious dialogue, hot sex, and sweet angst. The next book in the series looks just as great; a bit of the Beauty and the Beast going on which I CANNOT resist!
