Queen B’s Decree: I have mixed feelings about A Single Glance. The blurb was vague but it doesn’t seem to match what I just read.
AND IT’S A CLIFFHANGER. You need to know that.
Regardless, I enjoyed the beginning to Jase and Bethany’s story. Their “relationship” moves fast – what started as business moved to much more very quickly.
Short plot overview: Bethany’s grieving her sister and is looking for answers. She goes to Jase’s club The Red Room looking for information and from there Jase is obsessed. Bethany later makes a deal with the devil, so to speak, to pay off her sister’s debt and get answers at the same time. Their attraction goes from zero to sixty in no time and quickly progresses into a relationship of sorts
The sex scenes were super hot, and the story line was enticing. My biggest con is that I felt like I was left hanging, duped into thinking this was a standalone.
