Read. Reign. Repeat.

The Librarian’s Vampire Assistant Book Two by Mimi Jean Pamfiloff

Queen B’s Decree: Ahhhh Michael, I have missed you.  If you missed book one, here’s a quick reminder for you. Michael is our vampire, who is working to solve a mystery while he meets his librarian, Miriam. At the end of book one, we had no romance but a lot of intrigue.

We start book two right where the first left off. Mimi Jean continues with her insane writing ability. Once again, I was hooked and immediately addicted. I don’t know what it is about this series, but I can not put it down.

Michael’s inner dialogue is hilarious and snarky without being overly quirky. I appreciated seeing the story unfold through Michael’s point-of-view; it is still refreshing to have a book series entirely told through the male protagonist’s point of view.

In book two, Michael starts having “feelings” that he has no idea how to deal with, yet the romance hasn’t really unfolded yet. The progression feels great; we learn so much yet are left wanting more. In typical Mimi Jean fashion, we end on a slight cliffhanger that does nothing except whet my appetite for more. I really have no complaints here; I loved the relationships between Michael and Miriam, between Michael and his vampire friends, the suspense, the mystery, and the humor.

I’ll be not so patiently waiting here for more.
