I hit a minor roadblock. An “event,” so to speak, occurs midway in the story and suddenly I was questioning everything. I almost wanted to quit reading. What if Ender and Adelaide don’t get their happily ever after? How will I survive?
Breathe easy, dear readers. Just like most relationships in life, Ender and Adelaide worked through any problems and discussed it like real life adults. Again, I found this book so refreshing with Adelaide’s point of view and her explanations of how she sees life through the eyes of an Aspie.
And let’s not forget about Ender. He never acted like Adelaide was anything but the pot of gold at the end of his rainbow, and such devotion is so lovely to read about. A couple who are equally dedicated to the other’s happiness – isn’t that #lifegoals?
I can safely say that I’m now a Haleigh Lovell convert and she’s been added to my auto-buy list. Can’t wait to see what she’s got next!
