Queen B’s Decree: I was so excited to see this book hit my kindle. Bane was just such a cool side character in Scandalous. I mean, the dude surfs naked and has a Prince Albert piercing. And a man bun! What more do I need in life?
Bane was an asshole and a manwhore and proud of the fact. Watching him develop feelings and not understand how to deal with them was awesome. I love a good redemption story.
Jesse, on the other hand, was a painful read. Her past was so terrible. So much evil had happened to her. It almost felt over the top. Be warned, some of it was difficult to read. Yet it felt integral to the story. Jesse and Bane wouldn’t have been perfect together if they hadn’t lived through their demons.
All in all, another good read by L.J. Shen. Can’t wait for the spinoff series!
