Queen B’s Decree: Not too long ago I had a four day weekend with very few obligations scheduled. So I made the most of my time and reread the entire Billionaire Boys Club Series by Jessica Clare. A quick synopsis: a bunch of billionaires are best friends in this “secret society” and one by one they fall in love. Six books and two novellas, as described below.
Stranded with the Billionaire (#1) – Logan and Brontë; meet at a deserted resort during a hurricane. Not as strong as the later books, most likely due to the introduction of all the Billionaire Boys. Brontë is always worth a reread, although Logan can be frustrating.
Beauty and the Billionaire (#2) – Hunter and Gretchen; a play on Beauty and the Beast. Hunter is wonderfully damaged. My favorite kind of Hero.
The Wrong Billionaire’s Bed (#3) – Reese and Audrey; I thought I didn’t really like this one until I reread it. Turns out the chemistry between the two is better than I remembered. Reese made me chuckle out loud.
His Royal Princess (#3.5) – Luke and Alexandra; not a fan of this one, even upon rereading. Side characters that you don’t even meet until book #4.
Once Upon a Billionaire (#4) – Griffin and Maylee; this may be my favorite one. Griff is an asshole that eventually redeems himself and grovels beautifully and Maylee is just a sweet person you can’t help but adore.
Romancing the Billionaire (#5) – Jonathan and Violet; still not a fan of second chance romances so I can’t really enjoy this one. The angst is too much.
One Night with the Billionaire (#6) – Cade and Kylie; my favorite after Griff. Cade is sweet and wonderful and I love how he meshes with Kylie.
Beauty and the Billionaire: The wedding (#6.5) – primarily about Gretchen’s wedding (by the way, you should see the spin-off series about the bridesmaids) but also about Daphne, the “bad guy” from some of the previous books. She has redeemed herself and gets her own happy ending (with a character whose name I can’t remember – must not have been that interesting, huh?)
The best thing about this series is the consistent quality. No distinct formula and each character or couple flows differently. It’s a great thing when a series is so good as a whole.
And now I need another series to binge. Any suggestions?
