Read. Reign. Repeat.

Boston Underworld Binge Bonanza

Long ago, Queen J recommended Reaper by A. Zavarelli (Boston Underworld Book #2) to me, telling me the Hero was right up my alley.  But he was book #2 in the series!  I couldn’t start at #2!

And this weekend, I finally picked up Crow, book #1 in the series.  And there went all my free time (side note: thanks to Prince Consort B for keeping the royal palace clean this weekend while I was occupied). Before I knew it, I had finished Ghost.  And I feel a little adrift. There are more books scheduled to release…but when? I need to know so I can stare at the calendar, willing the days to move.

While these books are all in a connected series, each couple and story felt unique. Sometimes I feel like series can become formulaic and repetitive – I didn’t find this to true regarding Boston Underworld. Naturally, Queen J was right, and I adored Ronan, Hero in Reaper (Book #2). He was my perfect mix of damaged and alpha. I enjoyed Ronan the most, but I still found myself enthralled throughout the entirety of the series.

If you need a series to catch your attention, and you can tolerate some dark themes, I highly recommend the Boston Underworld series. Now I’ll just be over here stalking the author for updates on the next book…
