Queen B’s Decree: Let’s throw down some truth here. I typically don’t like nor read rock star romances. I don’t really know why I shy away from them – music is a big part of my life. Maybe that’s why? Music can be too real and I don’t want to be disappointed by how someone else handles it? But that’s neither here nor there, as I, in fact, did read this book…about a rock star.
And I loved every minute of it.
Libby and Killian’s relationship felt so real to me. It was angsty and emotional and funny and…what word am I looking for…normal, to me. There were times I nearly laughed out loud while reading (I only restrained myself because I was in the cafeteria at work on my lunch break and thought I’d look like a crazy person – “Yes, I’m sitting in a booth by myself and laughing. What’s it to you???”).
Kristen Callihan has a way with words that just resonates with me, and I find myself counting the days until Managed releases. Procrastination pays off, as I only have to wait four more days. See you soon, Scottie…

Favorite Quote:
Music can be your friend when you have none, your lover when you’re needy. Your rage, your sorrow, your joy, your pain. Your voice when you’ve lost your own. To be a part of that, to be the soundtrack of someone’s life, is a beautiful thing.
